ISABELLA COUPÉ

When Borgward decided to expand its spectrum their vision was to build a “nice car” with a shortened roof. The Borgward Isabella Coupé was created, of which initially only four prototypes made it to the public eye. Carl Borgward gave the first of these hand-made prototypes to his wife Elisabeth as a christmas present in 1956. After 20 pre-production models, series production of the Isabella Coupés started in 1957.

ISABELLA COUPÉ CONVERTIBLE

The Karl Deutsch company in Cologne then transformed the Isabella Coupé model into a Carbriolet. Around two dozen original Karl Deutsch Coupé-Cabriolets were produced. Our conversions are made true to detail based on the example of the German company. You can find more information on this in our services.

ISABELLA TS CONVERTIBLE

In order to satisfy customers demand, Borgward started to offer the Isabella TS in 1955. TS stands for "touring sport" and with it's 15 HP more than the standard Isabella (60 HP)  alongside the comfortable reclining seats, long distances in the Isabella TS became a truely pleasureable experience. The company Karl Deutsch from Cologne (Johannes von Beeskow) transformed this model into a beautiful convertible version.

Its advanced, compact pontoon body  and a large interior caused a real sensation. In 1952 the Hansa 1800 followed with an output of 60HP and options for a two- or four door variant of the car.

P100

The P100 - also sold under the name "Großer Borgward" - will be remembered as the last mass-produced car from the Borgward company. It was the first german car that offered a quite complex air suspension system, which set the car ahead of its time in terms of ride comfort and performance. Around 2500 P100 cars were built between October 1960 and July 1961.
